Sometimes. If your ISP throttles game CDN traffic or routes you through bad peering, yes. If your ISP route is already optimal, it won't speed things up. Test a few rounds with and without the VPN connected.
Does a VPN stop people DDoSing me in Roblox PvP?
Mostly yes. Other players don't see your real IP in the matchmaker — they see the Roblox server. The DDoS-risk surface is when you're hosting (which Roblox does centrally, so you're not personally exposed) or using third-party voice chat (Discord). On both fronts, a VPN helps.
Can I get banned from Roblox for using a VPN?
Roblox's terms don't explicitly ban VPN use, but using one to evade an existing ban or circumvent age/region controls can lead to a ban. Using one for ping or anti-throttling is generally fine.
Roblox keeps disconnecting on my phone — will a VPN help?
