🌙 LATE NIGHT MODE ACTIVATED — THE CLOWN IS WATCHING 🌙

Turn Off The
VPN.

Three ways to disconnect, from "pause for a sec" to "remove all traces from my phone". Pick the one that fits.

🎪 Method 1 — In The App

Quickest. Pauses the tunnel, keeps the app installed.

✓ Steps
  1. Open ClownVPN.
  2. Tap the big yellow circle (currently labeled "ON").
  3. Circle goes from yellow to white. Status reads "Tap to connect".
  4. You're now using your normal ISP connection again.

Reconnect anytime by tapping the same circle.

🎪 Method 2 — Android Quick Settings

Without opening the app. From your status bar:

⚙️ Steps
  1. Pull down twice from the top of the screen to see the full quick-settings panel.
  2. Tap the VPN tile (or the key icon).
  3. A panel opens showing ClownVPN. Tap Disconnect.

On some Android skins (Samsung One UI, MIUI, OxygenOS) the path is slightly different but the concept is the same.

🎪 Method 3 — Uninstall Completely

Remove the app and clean up all traces.

1
Disconnect first

If the VPN is active, disconnect it via Method 1 above. Uninstalling while connected can leave Android in a weird state.

2
If you enabled Always-On VPN, disable it first

Settings → Network & internet → VPN → ClownVPN ⚙️ → toggle Always-on VPN OFF. Otherwise Android will warn you when you uninstall.

3
Uninstall the app

Long-press the ClownVPN icon → Uninstall. Or: Settings → Apps → ClownVPN → Uninstall.

4
(Paranoia) Remove leftover VPN profile

Settings → Network & internet → VPN. If you still see a ClownVPN entry, tap it → Forget VPN. Most of the time uninstall handles this automatically.

✓ That's it

The app is gone, the VPN profile is gone, and your phone is back to using your normal connection. Since we don't have user accounts, there's nothing on our side to "close".

🎪 Changed Your Mind?

Reinstall anytime. No account, so nothing to recover. Just download and connect.

🎪 FAQ

If I turn off the VPN, will my real IP show?
Yes. Disconnecting the VPN means traffic flows directly through your ISP again. That's the entire effect of disconnecting.
Will turning off the VPN delete my data on your servers?
There is no data of yours on our servers to delete. We don't store account info, IP logs, or anything tied to you. Disconnecting just stops the active session.
I uninstalled the app but a "VPN" icon is still in my status bar.
Android sometimes leaves the VPN service flag set. Settings → Network & internet → VPN → tap any leftover ClownVPN entry → Forget VPN. Restart your phone if needed.
Can I schedule the VPN to turn off automatically?
Not currently as a built-in feature. Workaround: use a Tasker / Bixby Routines / Automate (the Android app) profile to toggle the VPN service at scheduled times.
